MURAD – Collie-Terrier Mix / 9 months / 14 kg / F-Spayed

Murad is the type of dog to seek out a challenge, but her biggest challenge so far? Finding her forever family.

An extremely smart dog, Murad’s favourite way to pass the time in the home is to play ‘find it’ sniff and search games. In her future home, she would love to be enrolled in scent detection classes or agility. She also picks up new tricks quickly and loves to impress her foster family with her skills. Along with her smart side, she has a sweet side. She bonds quickly with her humans and loves to cuddle! She also enjoys playing with her foster sibling’s and other dogs that she knows well.

Murad’s training is going very well. She knows sit, down, settle (place), and touch. Murad is house trained and understands that bathroom breaks only happen outside. The perfect house guest, Murad is quiet around the home and enjoys sitting with foster mom while she works from home. She is also great in the car and does well on long car rides. Murad will also wait her turn to get fed in the morning and is patient while her foster siblings get their food. At nighttime, she sleeps soundly in her crate until morning.

Murad takes a bit of time to warm up to new people and dogs. Murad walks extremely well on leash and enjoys going for hikes, but sometimes she can be apprehensive about passing dogs or people. Her future home will have someone who can keep up with her training and exercise her mind, body, and soul! She would be great as the only dog in the home, but she is able to co-exist with cats and prefers dogs that are the same size as her or bigger.
