Fergie is a shy girl, but sweet as can be. She is very comfortable with other dogs and cool as a cucumber with cats. Her foster mom says that she also loves dog-savvy kids. She’s active and can be confident exploring, as long as she’s with her canine foster sibling. She is cautious on her own and only just learning about a life outside of the rescue. Stairs! Elevators! Cars! Oh my! Once Fergie gets to know you she’s allll about the snuggles. This 30lb pup thinks she’s a lap dog.
She is picking up on housetraining and in true puppy fashion she likes a good chew toy. She’s still working on stairs and her confidence when it comes to new spaces, but she’s getting braver day by day.
Her ideal home would include a dog companion to help her build her confidence. A home with a yard, or a condo with lots of walks, would be great for this active pup. She’s still learning about toys, but she’s bright so if you have the time to train her she’ll do just about anything for a treat!
