LANDY – Lab Mix / 10 Months / 12 Kg / F-Spayed

Lovely Landy is here and her foster mom is smitten. When rescued, she was sitting in a ray of sunshine, just waiting for good things to appear. They did, and we can confirm that this optimist does have more good things in her future!

She is just a happy kid; happy to know cats, happy to know dogs, happy to see people. She sleeps through the night without a peep, and….you guessed it – she is happy to see her foster family in the morning! She walks well on a leash, though she tends to stay close to her people in new situations.

Landy loves her treats and is working hard to earn them. Housetraining is going well, and she has started asking to go outside for her breaks by using the bell at the door. She also sits before coming in the door and again when inside. Toys are new to her, but she is figuring her out. She is super confident in the house – stairs, sure! TV? whatever! vacuum – so what?

Landy will need a dog pal in her future home. She occasionally pops up to peek on counters or will hop up to see her people so, while she is easily redirected, we recommend older (sturdy) kids. She also needs regular potty breaks and adores being around people, so she would love a home with a secured yard where people are home most of the time.

If you have an existing dog and a yard, check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Landy’s adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
