LUCÍA – Mexi-Lab Mix / 7 Months / 14.8kg / F-Spayed

This bundle of fun is Lucia! She was found in a box outside the shelter with her sister Cafecita. Despite a rough start to life, she is the eternal optomist!

She is a typical playful pup and has energy for days and she loves to play with her foster siblings: her new home must have a dog pal! A secured yard is a must as zoomies are on the agenda every day. She is enthusiastic, so we do want to ensure any kids in the home are older/sturdier. And, in Mexico, Lucia did pass her cat test.

Foster mom is working on her walking skills, which are a work in progress. She tries to be confident, but some things like strollers and bikes may give her pause. Lucia is motivated by treats, so training has been going well, as she will focus (for food!). House-training is a work in progress, and she does not love the crate. The other dogs in the home have been consoling her during crate time, and it seems to do the trick. She loves all dogs, and really enjoys people, so we do want her future home to have people home most of the time.
