JESSICA – Lab Mix / 11 months / 14kg / F-Spayed

If we had to choose our favourite thing about Jessica, it would be how calm but playful she is (yes, that is 2 things, but they balance each other perfectly). She can read the room and will adjust accordingly – chill if you are chilling, or play if it’s time to romp! For a puppy, she can be quite chill, which her foster family appreciates from her.

She is enjoying her time with her canine foster brothers. She looks to them for confidence and will follow their lead, but she also brings out their playful side with her welcoming play bows and body wiggles. Jessica is house trained and crate trained and will happily sleep in her crate at night time or when foster mom has to run errands. If she has had solid exercise first, she can settle into her crate like a champ. She is doing so well with her house manners that we are hoping she can graduate from it in a few months. Jessica doesn’t mind a snack, so training with her has been a breeze. When meeting new people, she can be a bit shy but it does not take very long for her to warm up to new people (see earlier note about snacks).

For Jessica’s future home she needs a young, playful dog pal that would be keen for a kind wrestle session. She passed her cat test in Mexico but would do best with proper intros with them. She would do best with older kids only (16+ please)! Jessica would also love a yard in the suburbs for her future home as she wouldn’t appreciate the noises of a busy city for her daily walks. If you’re a kid-free couple looking for a canine companion for your existing dog, Jessica is your girl!
