CISSY – Retriever Mix / 11 Months / 14 kg / F-Spayed

Sweet Cissy truly is the whole package. Her foster mom says she is stunningly beautiful (obviously), incredibly smart, and remarkably sweet. She is an absolute star when it comes to treat puzzles and is able to figure them out in no time – talk about a smart cookie (it helps that she really LOVES food)! Her foster brother has grown quite fond of her, although she’s happy to do her own thing with toys if he’s not in the mood to play.

Cissy is a very social girl who loves being around people and dogs, and thrives on social interaction. She loves to play and wrestle, so she would really enjoy a playful canine buddy in her future home. She would do fine in a home without a full-time dog pal, as long as she’s with an active family who is home most of the time, will include her in lots of outdoor activities, and provide her with ample playdates with other pups. As she is a puppy, she can be a bit nippy when she plays, so she will be better with older, dog-savvy kids. Cissy also passed her cat test in Mexico, so cats in the home are OK.

She’s still working on her housetraining, but with enough encouragement (and treats!) we’re sure she’ll get the hang of it. Cissy would benefit from a family who is willing to set boundaries and continue working on her training with her so she can continue to be the best dog she can be!
