Why Adopt from DIBS?
We're a non profit organization dedicated to saving dogs and placing them in loving and caring homes in Southern Ontario.
Simply, putting Dogs In Better Spots
At DIBS, our goal is to save dogs, that otherwise would spend their lives in shelters - or worst case, be euthanized.
There are loving homes willing to welcome these dogs: DIBS just plays the matchmaker.
What People Are Saying
His name is Rio
It is hard to believe that Rio has only been with us for 4 months. I cannot imagine life without him! He is a crazy, fun affectionate little guy. He adores his big brother Prince, and Prince loves having a constant companion.
Thank you so much to DIBS, and especially Rio's foster Mom Christine (who checks up on him regularly) for bringing this wonderful mexi-mutt into our family!
My fantastic husband of 20 years had just passed away: we had no children so I was on my own.
I decided to take the plunge and began looking at dog rescues in the area- DIBS stood out. They were a small outfit and really seemed to care for the dogs. I saw a picture of Mojito and fell in love. The application process surprised me in its thoroughness yet I was quickly approved. Mojito became mine within 10 days. Soon after I saw a picture of Koka and fell for her. She and Mojito are best pals and are rarely separated. They love my cats and me! I can't imagine my life without these beautiful mexi-pups.
Thank you DIBS for everything you have done❤️
And Tequila makes 3!
Donna & Sofia
We saw a picture of Tuxi (now Lexi) and we knew right than and there that she was meant to be ours. When we got the call that Lexi had the chance to hop on the next flight, we were overjoyed!! We met our new addition at the airport and fell in love right away. She has watched us grow as a couple and we have watched her grow as a sweet, overactive, lovable puppy. We couldn't picture our lives without her and cant thank DIBS enough for bringing us such joy. Lexi is exploring beautiful Ontario and all it has to offer, shes a happy, hyper girl who loves to run - such a perfect fit for us.
Thank you DIBS and to the wonderful Ashley, for showing us Lexi. ❤
We love Onyx!
Mike and Liz
We have always had jack russells from the 8 week stage. We were on our fourth little girl who was 4 and she suddenly became ill with an auto immune disease that destroyed her blood cells. The vet hospital did all they could but we had to be realistic and we put her to sleep. We lasted a week with out a dog! Still crying from our loss, I saw a picture of Muffin. I fell in love with her face and had to have her. About a week later, she was home!!! ?? She mended our broken hearts!
