AZU – Lab Mix / 3 years / 15 kg / F-Spayed

Azu has caught the eye of one of our adoptive families. We hope she can bring them peace after the loss of their beloved Clementine.

Azu is a delightful canine whose name perfectly reflects her nature – just as sweet as sugar itself. Azu, short for “azúcar,” Spanish for sugar, embodies warmth and affection in every wag of her tail.

This charming pup’s journey began under unexpected circumstances, as she was discovered after giving birth to a litter of nine puppies beneath a parked truck. Despite the challenging start, Azu’s trusting spirit shone through from the very beginning, allowing her rescuers to safely relocate her and her precious offspring.

Now, it’s Azu’s time to bask in the spotlight. With her striking appearance and playful demeanor, she captures the hearts of everyone she meets. Azu possesses a moderate energy level, she adores her daily walks, eagerly exploring the world around her. Although she may pull on the leash in her excitement, she’s diligently working on mastering leash manners with patience and determination.

Azu’s future home will be one where her people are home most often. She’d love an active family to take her on plenty of walks, hikes and adventures too. She’ll need a home with a fully fenced yard in so she can play and explore at her own pace. She’d prefer a home with a dog-pal so she can continue to grow, learn and play from. And she passed her cat test in Mexico.

If Azu seems like she could be your new best friend, please check out https://dibsrescue.com/application/ for the adoption process and application. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
