CRUZ – Collie-Lab Mix / 1.5 Years / 14kg / M-Neutered

To say Cruz has a fan club would be an understatement. Everyone at DIBS is obsessed with him. I mean, look at those spots, those ears, that smile… We could go on and on!

Cruz is also a shelter favourite at PAR, where they describe him as being the life of the party! He loves being the centre of attention, and receiving any sort of praise/affection will make his day. One of our volunteers got to meet him recently, and fell in love with his bouncy, happy, social nature. That’s right, his personality is just as loveable as his face.

Cruz is another one of Mama Azu’s 8 puppies. One cute quirk about Cruz that sets him apart from his siblings, is that despite having the same markings as his mama & a few of his siblings, he is the only one with floofy ears.

Cruz still has some of that puppy energy, which is what makes him so easy to love. His future family would definitely be on the active side, as we know he would benefit greatly from hikes, walks, strolls on the beach, etc.

His future home would have a secure yard for him to zip and zoom around in. A confident, playful dog pal to show Cruz the ropes would be ideal. His future family would continue to work on his manners on the leash, as well as helping him learn to contain his excitement as he still jumps up and gently mouths when excited sometimes. We suspect a home with older kids would be best for him. We will update his cat test asap!

We are so excited to welcome Cruz to Canada. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Cruz, check out www.dibsrescue.com for the application process. His adoption fee is $750. if you are a family with older kids, please take a look at our resources with kids and dogs. (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
