Rachel is a loving and soulful girl. She is very gentle and sweet, and will give you lots of kisses, most likely on your toes!

She is quite content to hang out on the back deck soaking up the sun and the smells carried in on the breeze. She will just sit and watch the bunnies and squirrels going about their business with a cool and relaxed attitude. She also likes to play by chasing you around the yard or with some fun toys.

Out on a walk, Rachel is a little more timid as everything is new. She is curious and eager to explore, but at her own pace, and will stay fairly close to your side. She is cautious around other dogs (that aren’t her cool brothers and sisters she grew up with) and we are hoping she will warm up to some new friends in time. For now, we think it is best if she is the only dog at home.

Rachel is okay in a crate for part of the day after a nice walk and play time, but as she is still a pup, she will need to go out at least every 3-4 hours. She loves her chewy and squeaky toys so be sure to buy durable ones, and keep an eye on your shoes!  She loves food and will want to join you at the dinner table, so she is starting to learn her manners on this. She eagerly takes treats as incentive to learn the basics and is a very quick learner. She wants to please, but would also love belly rubs and massages from her humans in return 🙂  Rachel would make a wonderful addition to a family. As she gets to know you, she will become your bff.
