Meet Avena! She is an exceptionally lovely girl and is looking for her forever home. She is approximately 3 years old, and big for a DIBS dog (55lbs or so – not at all big for Canadian standards). To know her is to love her: she exudes a kindness and calmness that the world needs more of. She is quite low energy, and will not be a match for the typical family that is on the go. Life with Avena means leisurely walks, hanging out by the fireplace, or basking in the sun on the back deck. It means quiet days, unconditional love, and getting to see this face every single day.
She would be great for a less active family, she’d be great as an office dog. She does need a spot to bask in the sun, so we are suggesting a secure back yard. We are suggesting an adult only home for her – not because she would misbehave, but because she loves her quiet moments.
