About DIBS
DIBS Rescue is an Ontario based that helps find dogs new homes!
We are primarily around the greater Toronto area, but we have foster homes spanning from London to Ottawa.
We are foster-home based, which means we don’t have a shelter or a physical location.
When dogs come into our care, they go directly into a foster home.
DIBS works with veterinarians and rescue organizations to determine which dogs need to be rescued next.
We then work with our network of foster homes to determine the best fit.
From there, our team will interview and select the right family for each dog.
We are 100% volunteer based, and registered as a Canadian Non-Profit.
Mission Statement
DIBS Rescue is an Ontario non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to
saving and rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs
from Mexico and Canada, and placing in their forever homes!
DIBS stands for Dogs In Better Spots, and that is our goal!
How DIBS is Different
The team at DIBS is very fortunate in that we work extremely closely with our rescue partners. We have daily direct communication with the rescuers, their fosters, volunteers, vets – all of whom work with these future DIBS dogs and can tell us all the preferences, quirks, skills, and suggest the best home for our adoptees.
If a dog isn’t ready to come – we will wait for the best time to have them join our family.
We want to ensure that we are setting our dogs (and adopters) up for success!
