Wendy

WENDY – Mini Lab -Mix / 10 months / 9 kg / F-Spayed / $550

Little Wendy is a delight to have around. She has been in Canada a week, and her foster mom has been able to figure out what makes Wendy smile. She adores kids – they are her most favourite human in the house. She gets to spend her days following around her foster dad, but when the kids come home from school, Wendy’s heart swells a bit (as do ours, from watching the love fest happen).

She can be a bit shy at times (with adults) but does warm up. She is very treat motivated and is happy to listen if it earns her a little snack. This will come in handy for any future training, and the kids have already taught her “paw”. In the house, her manners are amazing. While she has no foundation to be housetrained, she has figured it out and hasn’t had any accidents inside. She is wonderful on walks and takes in everything that she sees. She is not a fan of sleeping in the crate, which is fine, as she is very polite.

In her foster home, there is an very energetic, loving puppy, which Wendy is not a fan of. A bit too much “woohoo” for her, so we think she’d be fine with no dog in the home, or even a dog that is past the woohoo stage in life. She did well on her cat test. Her ideal home will have someone home most of the time, kids for her to love on, and include lots of walks.
