PENELOPE – Scruffian / 6 years / 18 kg / F- Spayed

This smart and sensitive girl is Penelope (Penny!) She has settled in with her awesome foster family and is getting more and more comfortable by the day. This one eyed girl has sharpened her other senses – she can hear, follow and pinpoint the EXACT location of that pesky fly in the house. She savours scents when walking and may prove her excellence with energies diverted through training in tracking. Penny prefers to meet dog pals calmly, and has accepted the dog pals of her foster dog siblings; she will walk quietly with or following behind other dogs after calm meet ups but witnessing excited dog play elicits an overly excitedly and barky result on her part! She’s learning to refocus following the excitement, with consistent cues and is showing success at regaining her calm. She’s quite the lovebug and loves to have her face rubbed, her neck and ears scratched and massaged.

Penny is house trained and has fantastic manners in the home. She has been fine with cats in the home, but outside she is a bit critter focused (Squirrel!) Her ideal home is one with a backyard for zoomies and suntans, and people who are home most of the time. If you are interested in Penelope, we’d love to review your application.
