BELLE – Lab-Whippet / 1 year / 12kg / F-Spayed

Belle is here and just like her name implies – she is a pretty little thing. While she is here and we are ready to show her a new life, she has brought a wee bit of baggage with her from her past abusive home. But, with the support of her foster family (and very supportive canine pals) she is unpacking that baggage, bit by bit. A few times she has sassed the other dogs in the home (nothing terrible, but a bit of a “please don’t mess with me” reaction. For this reason, we are asking for no kids in the home to help her make a better transition to the next phase of her life.

She is working hard on her house manners and has slept in the crate like a champ (a wee bit less impressed by it during the day). She is food motivated, sits for treats and is so gentle when she takes them. She has started to play with toys and loves to keep an eye on foster mom. We think she’d do best with her humans around a lot, a canine pal to show her the ropes, and a home with a secured yard to run around in.
