Ojitos

OJITOS – Shepherd Mix / 1 year 10 months / 24.1 kg / F-Spayed

Ojitos is as smart as she is striking. Don’t let her photos fool you: this beauty is still Mexi-sized, at about 55lbs. She is social and playful with other dogs and people, and she loves doing tricks and figuring out new toys! She is housetrained, and will even let you know when she needs to go by heading to the back door (told you she was clever!). Ojitos loves food, and will happily spend hours getting kibble out of her Kong toy. She has also shown great house manners, staying off the furniture, going into her crate without a fuss, and being quiet in the home.

When all signs point to going outside, Ojitos truly comes alive. Outside adventurers – this is the girl for you!  She is strong and will need her humans to be committed to her leash training, as she does pull sometimes. With some focus and treats, she’ll walk by your side without pulling!

She seems pretty confident and loves playing independently – we think she be fine as the only dog in the home, provided she gets enough time to socialize with other dogs. She loves hanging out with her foster sister who is around her size, so a similar-sized dog pal would be great company for her. Older/dog-savvy kids only for this girl as she can jump out of excitement (usually for walks or treats). We are looking for a cat-free home for Ojitos.
