VICENTA – Shepherd Mix / 5 Months / 8kg / F-Spayed

Rescued near a busy road, little Vicenta came to the rescue along with her siblings. Despite her rough start, she’s a real lovely girl just looking for the right home.  Since arriving in Canada, Vicenta is settling into her foster home, as if it’s where she is meant to live. She is smitten with her canine foster brother, and has been very studiously shadowing him. Even, with housetraining, after taking Nacho’s lead, she has had no accidents inside (knock on wood!).
Without her canine pals presence, she is a bit of a nervous pup, so a confidence canine mentor is a must in her future home. As she is a puppy, Vicenta has lots of energy to burn and we think she will grow up to be an active dog. She loves to play with her toys (the squeaker the better) and will fall sleep snuggling her favourites in a nice soft dog bed. She is working on walking on a leash and getting more confident in the world.

Vicenta is shy with new people, preferring to be next to her foster brother when she meets them. While it takes some time to earn her trust, once you do she rewards you with happy tail wags and lots of kisses. We think she would be fine with quiet, respectful children that let Vicenta get to know them at her pace. She is respectful of cats, giving them their space, but will also give them a gentle sniff if that is okay with them.
