MIRTO – Pointer Mix / 8 Months / 18kg / M-Neutered
Have you ever been in Rome, and had an amazing pasta dinner, and at the end of the meal, you are so full, you think “Oh, I couldn’t eat one more thing”. Then the owner of the restaurant brings you little glasses of something that he calls Mirto. You think, oh I don’t need that, but you take a sip, and you think, nope, not for me. Then, you take another sip (not sure why) and you think “oh man, this is so good”. Then you (and all of your travel companions do too) finish your glass and loved it. So on the way home, you buy a bottle of Mirto at the airport. And when you get back to Toronto, you must track down where to buy the stuff, because Mirto makes everything better? Has that happened to you? No, ok…well, maybe it was just me…but it happened, and while you think you may not want Mirto, once you know Mirto, you realize that Mirto should be part of your life! (True story, and thanks to Cottonwood Agency for finding me the case of Mirto)
Well, our canine Mirto, we kinda feel the same about. You may pass him over, as it’s that awkward teen, all gangly legs. But, he is really the best dog! He is kind and sweet and gentle. He loves dogs, and is good with cats. He aims to please, and is treat motivated, so with this combo training is a breeze. He loves walks and car-rides. Mirto thrives with a canine mentor and models his behaviour after his friends, so we want him in a home with a confident existing dog (he was recently with a more nervous dog and he picked up that energy during his stay). He loves to play so a younger dog closer to his size would be ideal.
More on the lovefest about Mirto! He is good with cats, loves dogs, loves everyone he meets, knows how to give a paw, and has even mastered housetraining (with frequent outside breaks, of course). Even though he’s laid back, Mirto gets bouncy zooms after his walks and can’t wait to romp around with his future dog pal in a home with a secure yard.
Really, Mirto does make everything better!
