ANDREA – Mexi Mix / 7 years / 15 kg / F- Spayed
Andrea is such a special girl and we are a tad surprised that she hasn’t been scooped up (her foster parents are kinda secretly thrilled!)  She is really an incredible dog and so easy to enjoy time with. As an older lady she is looking for a quiet and calm life, where she can enjoy snacks, naps, and walks with her favourite people.
Andrea’s “nice” list”
-She does a happy dance when she sees you in the morning
-She scurries over and puts her head in your lap for affection.
-She is missing a few teeth but loves to gently nibble her kibble from an outstretched hand.
Andrea’s “naughty” list
– She is a smidge older than our typical dogs, but just 7!
– She is missing teeth, so her smile is more gummy glow, than pearly whites
– She is on a diet formulated for kidney health. Her blood levels have improved since she is been in Canada, but it’s something her future family will want to test for again in 6 months, and keep an eye on for life.  For the right people, this will be no biggie!
With other dogs, she is a bit “been there, done that” and she would love to live in a home with her humans and just be someone’s BFF.  She is good with dogs and great with cats, so a feline buddy in her future home could be fun for her.
In the home, her manners are super. She is housetrained, non-destructive and just wants to hang with her people (aka ‘home most of the time’ types). Her leash manners are improving, but sometimes squirrels do take priority.
If Andrea sounds like the ideal companion for you, please check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
