ARCHIE – Lab-Shepherd Mix / 1 year / 16kg / M-Neutered
You can’t tell by his big goofy smiles but Archie was once a real shy kid. His foster mom says he is so fun and easy to have around. He loves people and these days is not nervous or shy around new faces. He will greet every dog (and person) you pass in the park or on the street but will not bark, just sniffs and says hi.
Like most dogs, Archie is definitely interested in birds and squirrels, but will not pull hard on the leash to go after them. He loves going for walks and does very well on the leash. He is mostly housetrained and is beginning to go to the door to let his foster mom know if he needs to be taken out for a bathroom break. He also sleeps the whole night through in his crate with no issues.
Archie would benefit from having someone around most of the time as he needs frequent bathroom breaks and he likes to be close to his humans and will follow you around the house all day. Archie also feels good around other dogs, so he’ll need a doggy sibling in his future home. He’s a sensitive boy and would do well in a quieter neighbourhood with his people to be around most of the time. He’ll need a fenced-in yard so he can really stretch out and work off his energy. Archie is okay with cats as well!
