ARISTO – Mini Lab Mix / 5 months / 8.5kg / M-Neutered
Aristo may be the sweetest and shyest of his litter. He has not yet got his groove on how awesome his future life is going to be! Home living is new to him and he is figuring out toys, the crate, the cat, none of his siblings, the hardood floors, humans at his beck and call…..so much new in his life. He is starting to get the hang of walking on a leash and is starting to enjoy his walks about town. Of course, walks are better with a pal and his future home will have a dog mentor/playmate to help boost his confidence.
While he isn’t playing with the existing dog a lot, we see glimmers of interest and know that he will be tumbling around (like his siblings) in no time. Right now, people are still his favourite thing and he is always willing to snuggle up or get a belly rub. He’s learning to play fetch too! His foster parents say he is quite smart and picks things up quickly. Even housetraining has been a breeze with this smartie! Aristo is a good little eater and is food motivated, which is great for training purposes, and he is already learning to sit. As a puppy, he is quite interested in chewing, but so far he has been easily redirected. The adult teeth are coming in, so we get it!
Aristo’s future home will need to have a young full time dog pal in the home. (No grouches allowed – he will need someone who is keen on hanging with a puppy). A secure yard would be great for him, but if the right family comes along without a yard, we can explore the app. No young kids please (kids are loud and scary to Aristo). And, people home most of the time, will be best for him.
If you would like to apply for Aristo, please check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. His adoption fee is $870. If you are a family with older kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/). Note: we are only reviewing apps that have a dog pal in the home.
