Benita – Retriever Mix / 2 Years / 22kg / F–Spayed

Benita, is a lovely unicorn dog, looking for her unicorn family! We have had a lot of applications for her, but none have felt quite right. While she is a young girl, she is an old soul, and she puts on a brave face. But, when she is content and happy and in her element, she sparkles and her personality comes through. We want her future home to bring that out in her daily, and offer her opportunities to do the things that she loves.

When met with new things (people, places, dogs) she is quite reserved. But in a situation where she is comfortable she is so affectionate and playful. We assume that she was a pet in her past life, as her house manners are amazing. At times, her excitement gets the best of her and she will jump up and nibble fingers a bit to get more pets. She is great on a leash and loves rolling in the snow (it’s adorable!)

Her wishlist:
– a dog pal (in the home) is a must
– secure back yard
– life outside of the city (zen vs city noise)
– cats are just fine
– if there are kids, older and respectful only. She may nibble and we don’t want young kids due to that.
– lots of walks, hikes adventures
– people home most of the time
