BOOTIES – Shepherd Mix / 11 months / 12.8 kg / M-Neutered

You’d think with a name like “Booties” that his best feature would be his feets? But really, it’s hard to pin-point one thing. You can get all in on the little toes, but then the big brown eyes, and the perky ears. And his little tuxedo shirt…
There is so much more to this handsome guy, than a perfect pair of socks!

He is learning all the new things, one at a time!
– Crate-training: on track
– Housetrained: seems to be
– Toys: just discovered them and thinks they are awesome!
– Walks: does well for a new kid, but prefers to have the support of a buddy around him.

Booties works at being brave, and we think the support of a canine pal in the home will do wonders for his morale. He frequently tries to scootch between his foster mom and his canine foster bro, as if they are his security detail. We think downtown city living may be a bit much to him, and he will be happier in the burbs, away from the streetcars. And, he got a chance to explore a friends yard and he loves it, so adding that to his wishlist too! He did pass his cat test in Mexico, and we think he’d be find with older kids as the younger ones tend to be a bit louder!

If you have a dog pal, a yard, and lots of time to devote to Booties, we would love to see your application. Check out the adoption process and application at His adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (
