BRITNEY – Labrador Retriever mix / 8 months / 11kg / F-Spayed / $500

Beautiful Britney is a typical lab, albeit young! Her foster mom says she is incredibly smart and pretty chill for a dog her age. Like any Lab, she is very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. So far she has learned to sit for meals, how to catch treats, getting her food from slow feeders and treat balls. (Yes, we know, those are all food things: we did say she is very lab-ish)

She’s been having fun with her new toys and, although a bit shy right now, is still game for adventure. She enjoys her walks, lounging on the cottage deck and hanging with her foster family – both canine and human. Britney is highly curious and she’ll usually follow her humans’ lead provided they’ve given her the time and encouragement when facing with new situations. She’s very affectionate with her people and is so eager to please them!

The ideal home for Britney would be with an active family who’ll include her in their daily activities and outdoor adventures. A fenced backyard would be great to allow her to show off some of her puppy vitality, but would not be mandatory if her owners are dedicated to good daily walks, and a balance of mental and physical stimulation. She’s wonderful with dogs and cats, and is kid friendly too. Bonus: her tail is shorter than normal, so is proven to be “wine glass on the coffee table safe.” Can’t say that about most retrievers!
