Canela

CANELA – Mexi-Lab/Shep / 3yrs / 23 Kg / F-Spayed / $450

Canela was saved just in time from euthanasia, along with 75 other dogs. Despite her rough life thus far, she still finds the heart to be playful, joyful and loving. She is social and loves to run and play with her dog pals. She loves walks, but she is keen to take it to the next level with hikes or runs. She is good on leash and crate trained by night. She has not been kid tested as of yet. She does however do well with cats.

Since coming to Canada, her foster mom and dad have been able to really see Canela blossom. If she could talk, this is what she would say: “Hi! My name is Canela and I came to Canada on February 12. I was a little bit scared at first but I’m now coming out of my shell and really like it here. When my foster parents come home from work and let me out of my crate my tail wags and wags and I’m really happy to see them. My favourite thing is when they grab the leash because I know I’m going for a walk. When I get home I’m very quiet and love to lounge around on the couch for the rest of the evening. My foster parents have another dog who I like very much and some other four legged creatures (cats) that I wasn’t too sure about at first but one of them rubbed all up under my chin so I think they are friendly and that they like me. I’m very food motivated so teaching and training should be a breeze. If anyone out there wants a super sweet, well behaved dog to lie around on the couch (I like the bed too) with them then you should ask the people at DIBS how to put in an application so that I can be your forever dog.”
