CECILIA – Mexi-mix / 2.5 years / 17kg / F-Spayed

Do you like long walks, cuddles and a little conversation? Then Cecilia is your girl! Cecilia is enjoying life in Canada so far and is settling in well.

Cecilia likes to start her mornings with a big breakfast and a long walk. And she is determined to chat to get you up and going! She would like 3 walks per day, please, so she can take in the sights and sounds around her! And while her walks are the best, really any time with her peeps is pretty awesome too.

After walks, Cecilia is calm yet also curious in the home, and her playful side is starting to come out. She will join in your scrabble game, check out what’s cooking, borrow her foster bro’s squeaky toy, play with her snuffle mat, or come in for some scratchies and a kiss. And naptime in her own bed or open crate is always good too. Cecilia does have a slight tic in her jaw: a residual effect of being a distemper survivor (we did mention she was determined, right?). She’s also smart, housetrained, and super sweet.

Because Cecilia is so fond of her people, we will be focusing on applications that have people home most of the time and who will include her in their daily activities. We initially thought she needed a dog pal, but on a few recent playdates she was a bit indifferent to other dogs (really, humans are where it’s at!). While she is good with other dogs, we are looking for a cat-free home for this gal. And she may chatter from time to time, so no apartment living for her!

If you meet the requirements listed above, we’d love to see your application. To apply to adopt Cecilia, check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
