DANONINO – Terrier Mix / 6 Months / 8.2kg / M-Neutered

What a cutie! This handsome kid is Danonino (say that 3x fast!). From his looks he may be part JRT, and he is definitely a puppy, so there will be lots of spunk and energy for his new family! His foster mom says he is very excitable, but he loves to impress his people, is very smart, and lives for praise, so that should make training a breeze! Danonino loves to go for walks and walks well on a leash, but he’s also prone to random bursts of high-speed zoomies now and again (like any puppy). He is cautious of new people, but with proper intros he will be wagging his tail and offering kisses in no time! Foster mom says he is not overly vocal, but sighs when he’s content or falling asleep and whines while he’s eating (or drinking after a long walk/good play session)!

This polite boy will need a family that will continue to offer consistent training and be home most of the time (for supervision, frequent potty breaks, and lots of affection!). He jumps up when he gets excited or is looking for attention, so he should only be around older, dog-savvy kids. So far he likes cats and tries to interact with them, so any cat in the home should also be dog-savvy. Danonino will need a full time dog pal in the home to help mentor him. As he is full of beans, his ideal canine sibling will be of a similar age. And, while he is beyond adorable, his new family will need to set boundaries, and not hold him 24/7 – no matter how often he asks!

To apply to adopt Danonino, check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. His adoption fee is $870. If you are a family with (older) kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
