FLACO – Mexi-Mix / 6.5 Years / 16.5kg / M-Neutered

What do you see when you look up “kind” in a dictionary? A picture of Flaco! Friendly Flaco has been saving up his love and dreaming of a family to call his own since his rescue and we’re honoured to help him find them!

In his past life, Flaco was not treated nicely by people. Despite this cruelty, Flaco has learned that he can trust humans and no one will ever hurt him again. In any situation, he exudes positivity and calm vibes. Foster mom says she has struck gold with this big eared golden boy. Throughout the day he checks in with his people to remind them of his love and he is always sure to find the comfiest spot to sleep or retire to with a treat or toy. He is fully housetrained and has been an excellent companion to his canine foster brother.

Outside, Flaco is very curious and methodical. He loves to go on 2 mid-to-long walks a day where he can show off his superb leash skills and take in all the new sights and sniffs in Canada. Flaco is more of “let’s take the scenic route” kind of guy. He likes to walk at his own pace and hasn’t been interested in jogging.

We can’t write about Flaco and not mention his incredibly soft like velvet fur, soulful eyes, and bright smile.

Flaco’s wishlist is simple and looks like the following: people home most of the time so they can dote on him and bask in his love, a dog bed in every room, and no shortage or toys and chewies! Condo/city living is fine. Flaco does not require an existing dog in the home but if there is one, he would appreciate them to be chill and well mannered. He passed his cat test in Mexico and we suspect he would be fine with children.

To apply to adopt Flaco, check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. His adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
