Jai – Lab Mix / 1 Year / 16 kg / F-Spayed
Embark on a tail-wagging adventure and step into the pawsome world that is “A Day in the Life” of Jai.
Jai is perfectly happy to mirror her schedule to align with the humans. If you stay up late, ok by Jai! If you are an early riser, ok by Jai! She can go with the flow, provided breakfast will be served, and she can hang with her crew (canine and human). She loves her morning walks, taking in the sights and sounds. She was initially a bit unsure of it all, but her back is straighter, her head is higher, and tail-tucking is becoming a thing of the past. While her foster parents are working from home, Jai will venture into her crate (door open) or find the coziest bed to curl up in.
Her inner-lab has her pondering a few peeks onto the countertops, she is actually very polite. She is learning to sit politely to wait for her meals. After her dinner, she is thrilled to go for her evening walk: she loves to see new dogs and figure out “new friend???”. For Jai, she knows that she loves every dog, but she is not the kind of girl to make the first move. Post walk, she is happy to run around the yard. In fact, the yard may be her happy place, and she has a special skill of running and squeaking her toys at the same time. We are told that she loved swimming at the shelter, so we suspect she may be thrilled to know that her foster home has a pool! Post evening romp, she is happy to chill with her canine foster siblings, and is the perfect house guest.
We know that she would love a canine dog pal in her future home – both for playtime and for confidence. Her humans should be able to dedicate a good amount of time to walks (3x a day at least) and playtime. A secure yard is a must for Jai. She did pass her cat test in Mexico, and if there are kids in the home, older is better (she must have had a past experience with kids as she can be quite cautious around them).
If you have what Jai needs, we would love to see your application. Check us out at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with older kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply. (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs).
