JEANINE – Basenji-Mix / 1.5 years / 13kg / F-Spayed

Hey there, awesome humans! I’m Jeanine and I’d love to be your future sidekick. Picture this: I’m a softie at heart, totally craving your love and approval. When playtime rolls around, I can be a burst of energy ready to unleash the fun! If I am not in my comfort, I can be timid but I am working on it!

She had a tough start at life and isn’t really sure of people’s intentions at times. We have assured her that life is good, and we think she is starting to believe us! Her confidence is growing every day, and it’s great to see that light in her eyes brighten. She is even getting more brave in elevators, but has been known to step or sit on human toes for that extra confidence boost.

She adores playing with dogs and does well with dogs that are bigger than her as she plays like a big dog. On busy walks, she snags the spot between her human and her canine foster bro for optimum security. Once she gets this spot, she is all perky ears and tail high. When she feels more exposed, she can be easily distracted. She didn’t ace her cat test in Mexico, so we suggest cat free for her.

For the humans in her future, she loves to be active and hikes and walks are her favourite things. A well stocked toy bin would be a bonus too. She prefers older kids to wee ones, so we would want focus on teens plus for her.
