Jefa’s foster mom says she is two dogs in one! One Jefa is submissive by nature and is cautious and shy in new situations, but once comfortable, her personality shines through. She can play at the dog park, but prefer to run with dogs she knows or comfortable with – usually dogs her size or smaller. She doesn’t like bigger dogs or dogs that rush up to her (without her invite), and she firmly asks them to back off.

The other Jefa is strong and determined and loves her outdoor lifestyle. She has a bit of prey drive and is excited to chase wildlife if given the chance- she is always scanning the environment and interested in birds and squirrels. She has speed and also is a great running partner. She is good on leash and travels well in the car.
Inside the house she is fantastic: she is housetrained and is very food motivated. Her people do need to dog-proof as she is good at counter-surfing and looking for anything to eat.

Her future family will be active: we’d love her to have a running buddy. Her home will have a secure back yard. She is good with cats, dogs and kids!
