JULIO – Mexi-Mix / 2.5 years / 14 kg / M-Neutered
Xochi (formerly known as Julio) is once again looking for his forever family. He was adopted just last month, and he and his new mom have had a fantastic time with walks and hikes and exploring a ton of new sights. In fact, they got out so often, that his mom has been diagnosed with tendinitis in both feet (and old injury that has reappeared). With treatment, and recovery, and doctors diagnosis of “no more hiking”, his mom wants to ensure he gets the family (and exercise) that he deserves. She loves him to bits and she gets to stay on a bit longer as his foster mom. He is being fostered in Kingston.
He is a pretty wonderful dog and his foster mom describes him as smart and sensitive. He enjoys training exercises and his future family should have a true interest in exploring training with him. He does love to be with his people, so someone home most of the time would be ideal (in real life, not COVID life). We think he would be ok with older sturdy kid, but the concern is that he does jump up to greet people: it’s harder to kiss the face, when he has all four feet on the ground. We’re also looking for a cat-free home for this guy. Julio is also cool with car rides and is ready for adventures with his new family!
If you’d like to apply for this great guy, please visit www.dibsrescue.com. His adoption fee is $550. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
