KAZUMI – Lab Mix / 6 Months / 15.6kg / F-Spayed
Meet pretty girl Kazumi! She is a timid but sweet and curious girl looking for a family she can trust to show her the world isn’t so scary. Kazumi LOVES going on walks and is becoming much less scared with guidance. Kazumi hasn’t figured out humans just yet, but with patience she will get there. Once you gain her trust, with the help of your existing dog, she will be showering you with kisses and requesting belly rubs – she loves love! She is gaining more confidence in the house and yard, and her place training and “say hi” exercises are going well! Kazumi is also getting more comfortable when meeting the same people more than once, and she even goes in for a sniff or lick when they aren’t paying attention to her.
Kazumi’s favorite things are exploring toys, napping next to her canine foster sister or at her foster mom’s feet, giving and receiving affection (once she trusts you), and running around in the yard – or hopping around when she’s feeling extra playful! Kazumi is housetrained and sleeps in her crate soundlessly through the night. She will need a family committed to helping build her confidence and setting boundaries in order for her to be her best self. She is learning “sit” and “down” for treats, and we know her future family will enjoy continuing her puppy training!
We look forward to matching Kazumi with a family that meets her needs. Her dream home would have her people home most of the time, a secured yard to run around in and explore, and a confident yet playful canine dog pal to show her the ropes. Since she is startled easily, she will need a home with no younger children as they can be unpredictable (14+ yrs old)! She is cat-friendly (she ignores them).
