KIKI – Hound Mix / 2.5 Years / 17kg / F-Spayed
Smart, beautiful, cuddly, loyal Kiki has won her foster family’s hearts. (If they didn’t already have two…you know how it goes!). Foster mom really appreciates an intellectual, agility type dog to do training classes and explore new learnings together – and Kiki is that kind of dog! She may not be everyone’s cup of tea though. She can appear to be high energy as that will be her vibe at her first meet and greet, but her foster parents assure us that she is a medium energy girl.
With her canine foster siblings she is great, and interacts with each one differently. In meeting new dogs she is awkward, wants to play, but comes across as dominant in her approach with unknown dogs. She can be a bit pesky when in play mode, but is easily directed to chill out, and go play on her own. We think she’d be great as a solo dog in the home, provided her human’s life is integrated with hers; lots of walks, agility fun, ball throw and snuggle time.
On walks, she is higher energy, checking out smells, squirrels and would love to interact with every dog she meets. She may be a great running partner, so she can pick up her pace a bit. Due to her critter passion, we think she’d be best cat free.
If you are looking for an adventure buddy in your life, Kiki could be for you! Please check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with older kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply. (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs).
