KIKI – Mexi Mix / 3 Years / 21kg / F-Spayed
February is Kiki’s birthday month and we think it may be a month of spoiling her! Just this week, she got a haltee, which is helping her on her walks a ton. She is also going to get to take classes on “how to walk like a lady” and we can’t wait to see the results! Currently she does pull on the leash, and her thoughts on dog vary from totally ignoring to a fixation on them. Her foster mom is so proud of her, and wants this birthday month to be the best ever!
She is very easy to live with, in the home. She is crate trained, house trained, sleeps through the night, loves her dog beds, plays nicely with her toys (no casualties yet) and waits nicely for her meals. The worst we can say about her in the home, is that her feets may smell a bit like doritos, but that may just add to her charm.
Her breeds keep us guessing, but we suspect heeler is dominant, and maybe a bit of catahoula and chihuahua in there. She is very pretty and leaner/taller than a typical heeler. She is just 45lbs but her height can make her look like she would be a smidge more than that.
For her future home, she will be happiest as the only pet! She can be good with dogs, but she is really full of beans 24/7 with dogs in her life, which can be a bit exhausting for all. She needs to be cat free, and she would love to be kid free, as she will knock over wee ones, and she really does bond with her humans, so 1 or 2 peeps in the home would make for a fantastic relationship with Kiki.
If you want to top up Kiki’s birthday month and maybe be her future home, please apply at www.dibsrescue.com for the adoption process and application. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with older kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/)
