KOBE – Bulldog / 13 Months / 28kg / M-Neutered – Owner Surrender

Handsome, happy Kobe can’t wait to find his forever family and be in an environment where he can thrive. He was a pup that was adopted during Covid and sadly not set up for success. The excitement of having a puppy wore off quickly, Kobe kept growing and his family realized they aren’t ready for a dog after all.

Currently, Kobe spends his days inside tethered with minimal room to stitch his legs and only a few brief walks per week; weather permitting. He does not have his exercise or mental needs met and deserves to truly understand what unconditional love and being apart of a family is really like!

Kobe is a your classic, purebred American bulldog. He is very playful, demonstrates great strength and endurance and is super friendly. He has met a few of our volunteers and warms up to everyone he meets in the hopes they’ll be able to give him the life he deserves. Kobe will need an experienced dog owner who is committed to dedicating a lot of time to training with emphasis on setting boundaries early on. He has not gone through basic training so he is pretty much starting from scratch! He is crate trained, housetrained and knows ‘sit’ and ‘paw.’ Kobe is a smart boy though and eager to please his people, so we know he will get his groove in no time at all.

For his new home, Kobe is looking for a family that understands his need for daily exercise and routine walks. This confident boy is friendly with other dogs, but we think he will be OK solo. If he is adopted to a home with dogs, they should probably have a similar, high energy personality. We are happy to arrange a meet and greet to see if the fit is there! Due to his size, we are looking for a home without small children and cats. He can easily get overstimulated, and will need a yard to run around in between walks.

If you are an experienced dog owner and meet his requirements, we would love to see your application. We will screen and coordinate on behalf of his owner. Please check out our adoption details at www.dibsrescue.com. His adoption fee is $500.
