ESPERANZA – Hound Mix / 6 months / 7.9kg / F-Spayed

Maria (larger brown and white) and Esperanza (smaller white) are 6 month old sisters who were rescued from the streets of Cancun by a kind lady who couldn’t leave them on the streets. She brought them into the vet, fully sponsored them, kept them with a friend until she was able to fly back and bring the girls to Canada. Although the girls are not DIBS dogs, we are helping the rescuer find a home for the girls. Both girls are spayed and up to date on vetting. (This lovely woman put her heart on the line to help these girls)

Maria is the more confident, calm and affectionate of the sisters whereas Esperanza is just full of puppy energy. Esperanza can also be shy at times and can be seen hiding under her sister’s belly if she’s uncomfortable. With proper introductions to both humans and other dogs the girls open up quickly and will show their affection. Within a few hours of arriving in Canada the girls were happily playing with their foster sister and exploring their new surroundings. In the house they are always found together whether they’re playing, sleeping or lounging around so we are hoping to find a forever home to welcome both girls together. They are both doing well with their house training and haven’t had accidents since they first arrived. The girls enjoy their walks but are still getting used to walking on a leash and how to act when meeting new dogs on walks. They are smart and do listen when corrected so we think they’ll ace training.
