MARISSA – Collie Mix / 1 year / 15 kg / F-Spayed

Smart and beautiful are the two words foster mom first thinks of when she describes Marissa. We’re also told that she is extremely food motivated and thrives when she has structure and a job to do. She is housetrained, walks great on a leash and sleeps in her crate overnight. Marissa is super affectionate and loves a good belly rub from her favourite humans. Foster mom says, “if I had all the room, she would stay forever.”

Marissa is a playful girl and loves to play fetch, toss around her favourite stuffies, or chase her flirt pole in the backyard. We think she might have some collie in her due to her instincts to herd. Marissa gets along great with most dogs and loves to play with her canine foster siblings. She also gets along great with cats. Her future home will have her people home most of the time. Any kids in the house should be older and dog-savvy, as she may try and herd in any kiddo rowdiness. Her future peeps will continue to set boundaries and structure for her to thrive. As a smartie, she loves to train and learn, so would appreciate some fun activities in her future.
