MICAELA – Chi-Lab Mix / 2.5 years / 11kg / F-Spayed

Micaela radiates a gentle and warm-hearted personality, adoring affection and responding with happy wiggles whenever she’s shown love. She has a natural inclination to reveal her belly (belly rubs are pawesome!) and seek pets as a friendly greeting. Food holds great appeal for Micaela, as she’s motivated by treats which suggests she’ll likely take really well to training.

Micaela is eager to learn which is evident in her house training, it is going well and she hasn’t had any accidents indoors. She also sleeps in her crate overnight with no issues and naps around the house during the day. Initially we thought Micaela was a low energy pup, but she readily went on a run with her foster Dad, making her fit for an active family too.

While toys haven’t quite captured her attention yet (unless there’s food involved!), we’re optimistic she’ll grow more interested with time. She’s also discovered squirrels and is proving to be a top notch squirrel detective!

Ideally, Micaela’s new home would include a fully fenced yard for her to explore freely. She’ll do best with someone around most of the time. While she’s fantastic with fellow pups, Micaela also has an independent side, therefore being a solo dog is OK with her. She even passed her cat test in Mexico, so having a cat in the home is no issue either. She’s on the hunt for her forever family – a loving and caring household that matches the affection and warmth she gives.

If you think Micaela could be the pup for you, please check out www.dibsrescue.com for the adoption process and application. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
