MOLE – Lab Mix / 1.5 Years / 14 kg / F–Spayed
Mole’s foster mom describes her as a cat inside a dogs body, which is funny, but also kinda true! Just like a cat, she’d be happy to snooze on your lap, she has bursts of energy followed by serious naps, and she thinks dogs are fine, but she doesn’t necessarily have to live with one. She is housetrained, loves to play and is little miss independent.
Her energy level is lower than what you would expect from a dog of her age. She does love her bursts of fun, racing around the yard with her canine foster sister. Tennis balls and toys are also great for burning off some steam. Peeps with dogs – be warned: she likes a well mannered dog to hang with (wrestling and mouthing are not appreciated)
She also loves going for a leisurely walk, especially when she gets to show off her latest outfit. Do know, she does have a few flaws as well! She jumps up on people, so we are looking for her to be in a home with older, sturdier kids only. And, she may have a bit of hound in her genes, so no apartment living for her, as her occasional barks and brays are bound to upset the neighbours. She is food motivated so the jumping is a work in progress!
She did pass her cat test in Mexico.
If you want to make Mole part of your family (infinite puppy kisses included), check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with (older) kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
