NILA – Shepherd Mix / 6 Months / 13.2kg / F-Spayed

Nila is an absolute sweetheart from snout to toe! She loves house living and will make a great family dog. Since arriving in Canada she has come out of her shell so much, revealing her goofy, silly puppy side. She loves her toys and her tennis ball but is extremely gentle, and will let you take toys and treats away from her. Nila really likes to be near her people, following them around everywhere including in the yard, and she settles right by your feet while she naps. Her ideal home will have people around often.

Nila loves evening walks with her foster sisters, and she’s still working on leash manners but improving with every walk. She sleeps quietly in her crate all night and goes to the door to let you know when she needs to be let out for a potty break (smart girl!). She is very food-motivated and makes nice eye contact – great for training.

Nila is becoming braver and more sure of herself every day, now that she has adjusted to house living and knows what is expected of her. Although she is more interested in people than dogs, she needs a full-time dog pal for confidence building and learning. Nila’s future home will also have a secure backyard for her to enjoy. She is cat-safe, totally ignoring the cat in her foster home even when they hiss at her. She loves to play with older kids, but does jump up (working on it!), so no young kids.
