POLARICA – Lab Mix / 1.5 Years / 14kg / F-Spayed

Awesome Polarica is loving life in Canada – now all she needs is her forever family! She’s a loving, smart, and active pup – she’ll work for food and treats, but she’ll work even harder for your affection (think chin scratches and belly rubs). Indoors, you’ll mostly catch her sleeping in her crate, relaxing on her dog bed, and occasionally chewing on her soft toys. Once she gets outside, though, she’s got boundless energy to burn. Polarica and her foster mom have come up with a list of activities she’d enjoy: jogging with her human, long hiking trips, agility courses and dog competition sports. Does any of that sound like your jam? Keep reading and see if Polarica might be the girl for you!

Polarica loves human company. Crate training has really helped her grow in confidence and reduce separation anxiety. She still likes to be around her people, but will give you space if you ask – consistency will be key here! Polarica is now rocking her leash skills. She sometimes gets distracted but is easy to redirect, and her new family will keep up this good work to hold her attention in busier areas. She is housetrained!

Polarica is good with other dogs – she’ll play when she’s in the mood, but when she wants her space she doesn’t engage. In order to be her happiest self, she will need a home with the right dog pal who can match her calm, confident energy (no super hyper puppies!!) and be a good playmate to her. We think she will also need access to a secure yard. She’s not a huge fan of sudden activity and noise so older, gentle kids only for Polarica, and we are looking for a cat-free home.
