POLITA – Lab Mix / 3 Years / 24kg / F-Spayed

Polita’s birthday week of fun was nothing short of amazing! She went on a little road trip to cottage country with foster mom and made some new friends along the way; both people and pup pals.

Foster mom raved about their adventure together: “She was the best travel pal; loving the car ride, watching the rolling hills, smelling the new scents, and of course snoozing along the way. Everyone she met loves her! Her demeaner is sooo calm and relaxed inside, which earned her top dog of the weekend – but I may be biased! Being usually super quiet, we heard her voice when she barked at a man high up in a tree, … but we get that… Polita, we get that. She was shy with her new friends at first (she likes to be the first to introduce herself), but she did go on exciting hikes/walks with them and quickly included them in her circle. Inside she’d bounce from carpet to couch to dog bed, wiggling her cute butt, and finding newfound pleasure in playing with her friends.”

We are so happy to see Polita blossoming and loving life. Her smile is back, she has lost lots of weight and feeling energy again, her painful UTI has cleared up, and we can tell she is feeling really great. In her future home, she would be best with a dog pal, older or no kids (she can jump up during play), and a somewhat chill, yet still a bit adventurous, lifestyle. After her fab long weekend away, she has requested that we add “has a cottage” to her wishlist, but we told her that is a bit much!!
