REYNA – Shepherd mix / 4 years / 21kg / F-Spayed

Reyna’s foster mom has lots of good things to say about her! “In her foster home, Reyna is getting along well with Ojitos and has absolutely no issues sharing her bed or sharing toys. She would probably be best with a dog her size or be a solo pup. Reyna loves going on walks and is a breeze to walk on leash.
Reyna’s favourite activity is probably napping and is happy to snooze while you do work and loves nothing more than her dog bed. She would do best with someone with dog experience – she needs someone who will set boundaries and correct her and commit to training. When set up for success and comfortable, she is the absolute most laidback pup. She knows sit, stay, bed, walk, lay down, and responds well to her name.” (Yes, as you can tell, her foster family really loves her)

Reyna is a lovely girl and she deserves the best home! We have thought about what her wishlist would be, and we are holding the bar high to her standard! Reyna is super affectionate and loves to be with her people, so people around most of the time would be best. She is good with dogs, and needs to be cat free. She really enjoys time with her canine friends, but more in a quiet camaraderie than an intense playtime. We would love a quiet home/neighbourhood (no downtown living for her). She would love a quiet and respectful home: she doesn’t appreciate a lot of kerfuffle, so kid-free would be ideal.

We thought she had found a home, but she is fear reactive, and sadly she was put into a position to be fearful. We sent her to bootcamp, thinking “lets get her on track” but we had zero issues at training and no issues in her foster home. When she trusts, she really trusts, and there are no boundaries with her. If presented with a scary situation or loud people, she may react and she has given some warning lunges.
