SHASTA – Mexi-Mix / 4 Years / 23 kg / F-Spayed

Sweet, beautiful, gentle Shasta can’t wait to find her forever family because she has a lot of love to give! She has such beautiful, bright eyes that now have a sparkle to them. She is quiet and would thrive in a calm home environment where she can spend the day with her family. She loves humans and seems to gravitate towards men. Everyday Shasta continues to gain more confidence and trust, she enjoys meeting new people and receiving lots of attention she so deserves.

Shasta’s perfect family would be in a bungalow (or have minimal stairs). Due to some past injuries she has a unique walking style. While this may slow her down, this doesn’t stop her from wanting to go out for walks and socializing with other dogs. Not essential but Shasta would benefit from a dog sibling to help with bringing out her playful side and boost her confidence. She passed her cat test in Mexico and is OK with dog-savvy children.

Her foster mom is so impressed with Shasta’s perfect house manners. She is house trained and is polite in all ways – with sharing food, toys, affection. She is sincerely just happy to get some unconditional love. In her past life in Mexico, she was someone’s pet, albeit a neglected one. She has some past injuries that make her the chill girl that she is today. (She has some pellets in her body from being shot, some breaks in her feet that were never treated and she has had several teeth extracted, likely due to bad nutrition and chewing at the chain that confined her). With continued patience, care and kindness, she will continue to blossom and show off her amazing self.
