Squints

Squints has arrived and he is a special one (yes, we say that all the time but he really is a sweetie). He is going to be someone’s heart dog.

His entire family – mom and seven pups – were dumped outside the shelter and immediately swooped into rescue. We have no idea what pre-dated their abandonment, but each pup has a bit of trepidation about new things. However, since arriving in Canada, Squints is trying his best to be a brave boy! He is learning to be more confident in his foster home, and is exploring more and more.

He is always checking in with his humans and we would love him in a home where people are home most of the time. Squints simply adores his canine foster siblings – and a home with an existing dog is a must for this guy. And – he passed his cat test, which is no surprise for this very kind pup.

We have promised this guy patience, an abundance of love and a lot of belly rubs. In return he will provide a ton of smiles, loyalty and unfailing love and appreciation.

Squints’ perfect home would have a secure yard to explore and a dog pal to mentor him. A chill family to take him on walks, hikes, adventures and include him in all they do would be heavenly! No small kids please, as they can be a bit intimidating for a shy pup.
