So….we weren’t even sure if we needed to do a bio for Tam, as what you see is what you get! He’s pretty cute with those little legs, the belly…and the constant tail wagging. Personify all of those physical traits, and you have Tam! (And, if see a bit of mischievous fun in those eyes, you would not be wrong either!)
Overall he is happy to please as he just wants to fill the role of BFF in your life. His foster mom describes him as affectionate, playful and can get quite excited at times. His favourites are plush toys – squeakers or not (he doesn’t discriminate). Fun fact, his favourite sleeping position is on his back, where he dreams of belly rubs from anyone passing by. He is happy to learn new things, especially when treats are on the line. And, he is fully housetrained, which is the way to every foster mama’s heart!
Despite misuse of the crate in his past life, he will sleep in the crate overnight without a peep.
On walks, he gets an A for most improved. He knows that walks bring good things and he is learning from his canine sis to embrace the moment and take it all in, as opposed to pulling to seek the next adventure. He would love a secure yard in his future home, to enjoy zoomies and suntanning as he chooses.
He is great with cats and dogs, and we think this playful pup would appreciate a canine pal in the home to romp around with and help burn off a bit of extra energy. We describe him as medium energy, but he will get into things if bored, so a playmate helps (as do peeps home most of the time). He likes to give love nibbles, so older kids only!
If his description sounds like the BFF you are looking for, please apply at www.dibsrescue.com. His adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply! Top wishlist items for Tam include family home most of the time, a dog pal and a willingness to give belly rubs as often as needed.
