TOPANKA – Dachshund Mix / 1 Year 11 Months / 7.6kg / F-Spayed

Topanka is a bonded pair with her sister (from another mister), Cori. This dynamic duo are still looking for their forever home!

We dare you not to fall in love with this long snout and those long, floppy ears – Topanka is a real cutie and she knows it! She’s an affectionate dog who just loves to be near her people and her bonded pal, Cori. We know that with a face like hers, it can be easy to give into her whims, and she will need a home with proper boundaries and routine to truly thrive. She has been learning lots in her foster home and after struggling a bit with separation from her peeps, she has become much better about settling in her crate – way to go, girl!

Topanka likes her naps, whether that’s in a nice spot in the sun or burrowed under some blankets to stay warm. She also really enjoys going for walks, sniffing around in the grass and keeping her eye out for interesting sights. She is smart and picks up on new things quickly, and can be pretty excitable sometimes – this little lady needs a family who can keep up!

Topanka’s future home will be one she can share with Cori, with people who are willing to help the girls as they build independence. Both of these dogs are active and like being outside so they will need access to a secure yard. Older kids only. We think a cat-free home would be best, as Topanka has been pretty interested in playing with cats.
