VIOLA – Beagle-Lab Mix / 6 months / 15kg / F-Spayed
Meet Viola! Her foster mom says she’s the sweetest dog she has ever fostered. Viola adores her people and her dog foster sibling. She is housetrained, and even asks to go outside when she needs to go! Her house manners are great too. She is curious, playful, goofy, and loves affection above all else. It’s hard to believe that this gentle pup hasn’t found her forever home yet.
Viola is food motivated and easy to train, she already knows ‘sit’ and ‘down’ is coming along as well! She eats politely – no slow feeder necessary! There are so many good things to say about this beautiful girl.
While she is not a fan of the crate, or confined spaces, it’s no biggie as she sleeps soundly through the night on her bed. Viola has had some fear-based piddles, but these are already improving as she decompresses in her foster home and we expect that she may grow out of it. Having met a few of the neighbourhood children, we know Viola gets along with kids, so long as they greet her calmly. She does jump up when excited so we may want to avoid small kids in her new home.
Her future home will have a canine dog pal to mentor and play with her. A secure back yard is a must for zoomies and chilling with her family. Her family will need to be patient as Viola continues to gain confidence. No cats for this girl! We have no doubt that she is an incredible pup, and that her people will come along.
If you think you could be her people, check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $870. If you are a family with (older) kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
