WILLIE – Pointer Mix / 4 years / 17 kg / M-Neutered

Ever hear that a little patience pays off? Well, that is definitely the case with Willie! Like an onion, he has many layers, and the more you know, the more you love!

This handsome boy can be shy in new situations, but quickly warms up after some time observing. He has started rewarding his foster family with a waggy tail, excitement at food time, and even some bouncing around with the resident dogs in his foster home (see youtube video!). He is the type that likes to observe before jumping in, and will benefit from a dog in his future home to show him the ropes.

Willie is a gentle soul, and is very patient and quiet. He walks well on a leash, is house trained (no accidents indoors!) and sleeps in his crate at night with a little encouragement. He is still learning about toys, and starting to play with his foster siblings. We predict that he will be bouncing around in no time!

Willie will benefit from a patient adopter who is willing to go at his pace. He will also need a dog-pal to play with and guide him, and would love a big yard to sniff around in. Due to Willie’s gentle nature, we do think he would do fine in a home with dog savvy kids. He also passed his cat test in Mexico!
