WILLOW – Lab-Mix / 5 years / 20kg / F-Spayed

Introducing Willow! Willow was a favourite at the shelter and was respected by the staff and dogs alike. She has a quiet wisdom to her that brings you a calm comfort when she is around. She fits right into her foster home and is lovely to spend time with. She is still decompressing so we assume we will see her personality flourish in the next few weeks.

When it comes to daily walks, Willow enjoys a relaxed stroll through the neighbourhood. Her tail adorably sways from side to side because she is just happy to go on a walk with you! Willow is house trained and sleeps in a dog bed overnight vs a crate. She loves to snooze by the fire during the day making her a quiet but faithful companion, casually checking in on you as you go about your day. Willow gets along famously with the other dogs in her foster home and would enjoy having dog friends in her future home. She does not appreciate foolish dogs and prefers to be treated like the lady that she is.

As a shelter favourite, she may have been getting more than her fair share of treats. She does need a wee diet, and her future peeps need to follow through on her weight loss goals. We want her to feel her best, and suspect she’d love the extra energy that comes with weight loss. She would do best with someone who is home a decent amount of time and someone who will take her on a regular walk schedule. We assume she would do well with kids but she would appreciate a quieter home because she is a quiet girl too. Willow passed her cat test in Mexico but was a bit nervous of the cats so cat free would be best for her.
